Per most manufacturers' suggestions, hot water tanks should be replaced every eight (8) to twelve (12) years. If you stick to this schedule, there is a good chance that you will never have a hot water tank problem. However, if notice that your hot water tank is leaking, you should cut the tank's power source (gas or electric), turn off the tank's water supply, and drain the tank. Once this is complete, contact Gerard Plumbing and Heating to solve your problem.
